The Queens native is one of five grooms-to-be from across the country who’ve made it to the finals of Essence magazine‘s third annual “Will You Marry Me?” contest, set to announce a winner Feb 12. Essence editors asked love-struck guys to write proposal letters to their girlfriends for a chance to win $50,000 to spend on a dream wedding – and they got 350 responses.
